For those of you who missed the article in the Graphic, here is an update on the Library Project:
There are hidden objects painted into parts of the picture (Mrs. Cran’s sheep, a cat, a rabbit, among other items). Parents are welcome to come in and see the paintings.
Parents are asked to register their children for Kindergarten if you have not already done so. Children must by 5 years old by December 31st, 2013 in order to be eligible for Kindergarten. Parents are asked to register their child at his/her local elementary school during school hours. A registration form will be completed at the time of registration. Parents are reminded to bring two pieces of information which verify proof of child’s age (birth certificate or PEI health card) and verification of home address. Dates for the parents and children to attend the Annual Welcome to Kindergarten sessions will be announced soon.
The attached link will take you to the Facebook page that shows some of the equipment that the students will be voting on for the playground. There will also be trees planted around the grounds as well.

Parents!!! The latest results of our education system on PEI is discouraging. Here in PEI, 21% of 15yr olds cannot read or write well enough to hold a job. Hal Perry has talked to the Superintendent of the Western School Board and he has agreed to meet with anyone interested to explain the results of the Program for International Student Assessment. We are considering mid January…..would you be interested in attending???
